Filled Vessels (Cask & Container)
Filled Vessels will typically created during other operations such as a Production Record leading to the creation of filled casks/containers or Vattings where outputs may create new casks/containers if the vatting if being performed to Re-Rack existing casks / containers. These can also be created manually or brought in using a warehouse receipt/removal.
Filled Casks
Filled Casks can be viewed by:
- MasterDistiller > Vessels > Filled Casks
- This will present you with a list view of filled casks (other views are available e.g. pivot, graph)
- To create a new Filled Cask Manually click “New”
- You will be presented with the filled cask form
- The only mandatory fields for a filled cask are:
- Date - Prefilled to today's date
- Product Category - for Inventory Tracking Later
- Stock Location
- Cask Asset (On the Wood Tab)
- The rest of the information for a cask is calculated based on fillings and emptyings
- At this stage, the Cask can then be Validated (this must be done to generate a corresponding inventory item and ensure that fillings and emptyings can be made to and from the cask)
- Confirming & Validating the Cask is done with the buttons at the top left-hand corner and the state can be tracked with the state bar at the top right-hand corner.
- The Cask barcode can be printed from the print menu at the top
Filled Containers
Filled containers work in a similar way to casks but with different rules for AYS calculations & simplified information in terms of provenance as containers do not have as much provenance information as casks.
